KHFI Impact

Since 2018, the Kansas Healthy Food Initiative has funded 73 projects in 42 counties totaling $4,900,162 in loans and grants.

These funded projects have:

• Retained 499 jobs and created 202 new jobs;
• Expanded or enhanced over 218,440 square feet of retail space;
• Leveraged $16.0 M of additional funding going directly to these community-based projects; and
• Served over 314,507 Kansas residents, 28.0% of whom identify as Black, Indigenous or People of Color (BIPOC)
